BL-105 Blade Inlet Louvers

BL-105 Blade Inlet Louvers have been discontinued.
PVC Mounting Brackets (left) are still available.

BL-105 Blade Inlet Louvers are rugged, durable PVC replacements for the conventional cement asbestos or fiberglass blade-type corrugated louvers used in induced draft water cooling towers to contain splash-out, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the aesthetics of the tower.

Applications
Brentwood's BL-105 Blade Inlet Louvers are used in a wide variety of new and retrofit applications, including air inlets for both package and field-erected counterflow and straight-sided crossflow towers, fresh air make-up systems, air pollution control scrubbers, and VOC strippers.

Features and Benefits
• Heavy-gauge, solid extrusions using CTI Standard 136 PVC for its durability, weather-resistance, chemical-resistance, and self-extinguishing fire characteristics. Will not chip, flake, crack, or corrode under normal cooling tower conditions.
• BL-105 Louvers slip into PVC Mounting Brackets (left) for an easy, secure installation.
• The ultra-smooth surface is nearly impervious to algae and scale build-up and easy to keep clean.
• Easy to handle and cut. None of the worker hazards or special precautions associated with asbestos cement or fiberglass products.
• The PVC compounds we use are specially formulated for UV resistance.
• Standard colors are white and light gray (for optimum protection against solar heat absorption and fading), but we can also produce custom-colored louvers to match nearby buildings, etc.
• This Type E louver matches the standard 4.2" corrugation for easy retrofit

Material
CL-100 Cellular Inlet Louvers are constructed of UV-stabliized PVC. This compound has outstanding resistance to weather exposure and is nearly impervious to chemical degradation by alkali, acids, greases, fats, oils, and biological attack. It also has an excellent fire rating due to its self-extinguishing characteristics, and meets or exceeds Cooling Tower Institute Standard 136.
